Delegate Pat McDonough will host a business issues breakfast on Saturday June 19th from 9 til 12 in the morning at the Pikesville Hilton Hotel. The event is open to the public and a number of business owners are expected to attend.
Former Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich, Ambassador Ellen Sauerbrey, Chair of a state wide business organization, and House Minority Leader Delegate Anthony O’Donnell will be the special guests. The meeting will be conducted in an “open forum style,” encouraging audience participation.
Delegate McDonough, the President of Rally Corp, is one of the leading advocates for the business community in the General Assembly. Delegate McDonough will be revealing his plan for a New Corporate Tax Reduction Proposal . The McDonough plan would make the Maryland State Corporate Tax the lowest in the nation and help change the image of Maryland as an “anti-business state.” The Maryland lawmaker will also be discussing a “new communication network” designed to provide business owners with an instant and informative alert system regarding “anti-business” legislation proposed in the General Assembly.
The unfriendly business atmosphere in Maryland is becoming a major issue in the 2010 election. Both Governor O’Malley and Governor Ehrlich have offered their own pro-business reform plans.
The “business issues breakfast” is a non-partisan policy and issues oriented event. All interested individuals, especially business owners, are encouraged to attend. To reserve your seat contact Delegate Pat McDonough at 410-238-0025.
