Edgewood Joppatowne Community Candidate Forum Scheduled for Sept. 2

From the Edgewood Joppatowne Community Candidate Forum:

My name is Ronald Chapman and I will be moderating the upcoming Edgewood Joppatowne Community Candidate Forum. While the forum will focus on issues facing residents of Edgewood and Joppatowne, I believe the same concerns can be addressed for all of Harford County. I would like to extend an invite for residents of Edgewood and Joppatowne, to include greater Harford, to come out and join us on Thursday September 2, 2010 6:30-9:30pm at Joppatowne HS Auditorium.

We will have the following offices participating in the forum: Board of Ed District A, Councilman, Harford Sheriff, and County Executive. We originally wanted to include Senate and House Delegate candidates, but because of time constraints could not provide for fair dialogue thereby sacrificing content for time
adherence. Candidates have volunteered their time to attend and participate in this forum which will present general questions to candidates with regard to the state of the county and future needs.

With this in mind, I would ask if there are residents in the Joppatowne and Edgewood areas that have questions they would like asked to please submit them to myself at ronchappy01@comcast.net. We will not be able to ask every single one, but we make an effort to cover the issues. Also please indicate which candidate group the question is pertaining to.

I would also like to extend a thanks to the candidates, representing all parties, for participating and taking time out of their schedules.

Lastly, it is important for community members to be involved not just during election time, but throughout in making sure they are informed about issues that face them and the county as a whole.
