Enthusiastic customers gathered at the Whiteford Branch of Harford County Public Library on January 4th to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the branch and the one year anniversary of the renovated branch reopening. The evening’s festivities included a proclamation from Senator Barry Glassman, a visit from Tales, the library mascot; a photo display of the history of the branch; refreshments and crafts.
Harford County Public Library operates eleven branches located throughout Harford County, Maryland. The library serves over 210,000 registered borrowers of all ages and has an annual circulation of almost 4,700,000. Harford County Public Library is committed to connecting people with information and promoting the love of reading within the community.
North Harford Friends of Harford County Public Library President Sara Robinson, Harford County Public Library Director Mary L. Hastler, Senator Barry Glassman and Whiteford Branch Manager Heidi Richardson help launch the 30th anniversary celebration of the Whiteford branch on January 4.
