It’s ironic looking over the agenda, that the same council that “opens in prayer” approved fortune telling in the county last night. The majority of the council wants to portray themselves as right wing conservative God-fearing spending hawks, yet they continue to veer in the opposite direction on economic and social issues. I don’t think you can legislate morality – one man’s vice is another man’s entertainment and it’s all covered by “free speech.” So I say bring on the casinos, bring on the strip clubs, set up a palm reading station for Sister Myra in council chambers. Keep raising fees and adding more obstacles to affordable housing in the county. I just wish the council would drop this conservative act.
