From Harford County Public Schools:
The HCPS Department of Safety & Security has chosen Jesse Hudler, 5th grader at Darlington Elementary School, as
Harford County’s Safety Patroller of the Year! Each year, AAA Mid-Atlantic, sponsor of the Safety Patrol Program for the State of Maryland, asks every county to nominate one student from each school that participates in the program for Safety Patroller of the Year. The HCPS nominees are sent to the Department of Safety & Security, and one student is selected to represent the county.
A student who exceeds academically, is involved in extracurricular activities and goes above and beyond the call of duty and truly stands out as a leader in safety is selected each year. Jesse Hudler, along with his parents, a representative from the HCPS Department of Safety & Security and Sgt. Scott Virden from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office are attending a luncheon on May 10. Jesse will be honored with other students from across the state. He will receive a $150 savings bond, a plaque with a mounted gold safety badge and some other goodies, compliments of AAA Mid-Atlantic. Congratulations, Jesse!
