The Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners will meet Monday night to consider the town administrator’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2012, which provides for tax rates of 50 cents and $1.16 per $100 of assessable value of real and personal property.
Also on the agenda during Monday night’s meeting are clarifications to the town’s fortune telling ordinance, which state that such a business may not be located closer than 1,000 feet from any school property line or an existing fortune telling business; and that the Board of Appeals may limit the hours and scope of the operation.
The Bel Air commissioners are also expected to make an appointment to the Economic Development Commission Appointment; award the bid for a police vehicle; and approve an agreement with Upper Chesapeake Medical Center regarding public road right of way.
Also during Monday night’s meeting, the Board of Town Commissioners will recognize the promotion of Bel Air Police Department Officers Castelow and Roberts; recogize the achievements of Madeline Smith, a 5th grade student at Saint Margaret School, and Patrick Toner, a senior at John Carroll School; and present a proclamation in honor of Arbor Day.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in Bel Air Town Hall.
