From Harford County Public Schools:
Edgewood High School is scheduled to induct 15 alumni, former staff members and community supporters into its newly formed Hall of Fame on June 1, 2011, at 12:50 p.m.
Jointly sponsored by the school and the Edgewood High School Alumni Association, the ‘Hall’ will honor those whose contributions have contributed to the success of the school over its 57 years of existence. The charter members will be inducted during an afternoon assembly in the school’s auditorium and then be part of the EDHS Class of 2011 commencement ceremonies that evening.
Among those to be inducted are:
Alumni: Ms. Carol L. Barker (Class of 1960), Mr. Howard K. McComas III (Class of 1961), Mrs. Helen E. Morrison (Class of 1961), US Army Colonel (Retired) Allan S. Ingalls, Jr. (Class of 1962), US Navy Rear Admiral (Retired) Richard B. Porterfield (Class of 1968), Mr. Dudley L. Bradley (Class of 1975), Mr. Charles W. Bradley (Class of 1977), and Dr. Sharon L. Fries-Britt (Class of 1977)
Former Staff Members: Mr. Lambert E. “Bud” Coakley (teacher, coach, athletic director), Dr. Earl J. Lightcap, Jr. (principal), Mr. Charles P. “Chuck” Marzen (teacher, coach, guidance counselor), Mr. Paul M. Metzger (teacher, work experience coordinator, coach), Dr. Carl D. Roberts (assistant principal, principal), and Mr. Robert C. Williams (principal); and Community Supporter: Mr. Anthony J. “Tony” Meoli.
