The Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the town’s tentative fiscal year 2012 budget Monday night and entertain a resolution regarding the final fiscal year 2012 budget resolution later on in the same meeting.
As required by law, the commissioners will also present the Town of Bel Air Planning Commission Annual Report, which outlines all adopted municipal ordinances, implementation of state visions, compliance with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, and current and proposed development. The report must also include information on growth and density of growth inside and outside priority funding areas, newly created lots, residential and commercial building permits, and development capacity analysis.
Local goals to increase growth within the priority funding area, a timeframe for reaching that goal, and incremental progress toward local goals will also be provided as part of the report.
The town commissioners are also expected Monday night to make a reappointment to the Tree Committee and award a bid for the spring paving contract. The agenda also includes the presentation of proclamations in recognition of Historic Preservation Month and Better Hearing and Speech Month, and the poster contest award winners.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in Bel Air Town Hall.
