The Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners will consider a resolution Monday night endorsing a $125,000 grant for a Community Legacy Plan and project financing in downtown Bel Air.
The project, financed either directly by the State Department of Housing and Community Development or through other state departments or agencies, addresses the “significant need for reinvestment and revitalization” in the Community Legacy Area – the 10-block downtown area comprised of Main and Bond Streets as well as connecting streets.
The town is also considering raising its schedule of fees charged for certain services and documents the municipal government provides including residential, industrial and commercial site plans; comprehensive rezoning requests; sign permits; and sewer system development fees. The full list of proposed changes to the Town of Bel Air’s Fee Schedule can be found here.
Also Monday night, the town commissioners will consider fiscal year 2011 budget amendments and recognize the promotion of Bel Air police officer Wes Salvas.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in Bel Air Town Hall.
