From Habitat for Humanity:
Habitat for Humanity of Cecil County and Harford Habitat for Humanity have merged. The new affiliate name is Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna. While the name has changed, their mission to partner with families and the community to build and repair homes remains the same.
The new affiliate is enthusiastic to combine resources and cultivate new relationships in both Harford and Cecil Counties. Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna will have an even greater impact on the region as it helps deserving low-income families achieve homeownership and receive critical home repairs. Since 1993, the two affiliates had served more than 150 families by building 62 homes and repairing 127.
“We will partner with more communities, build and repair more homes and ultimately serve more families through this merger,” says Executive Director Joann Blewett.
The merged affiliate moves forward with a combined Board of Directors and all employees. Under the merger, Pam Ruff will serve as board president of Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna and Joann Blewett will continue as the Executive Director.
The public is invited to join the staff, Board, partner family and volunteers of Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna in celebrating its first home dedication of the newly merged affiliate on September 9, 10 am, at 23 Cherry Lane in Elkton, MD.

Hello
Back on Oct 10th 2011 all the money that was ask for was sent in to do the checks that needed to be done. The paper work was for Mary Moore at 1870 Emily Dr.Edgewood, Md. 21040. To this date March 28th 2012 we still have not heard a thing back. I called and was told I would get a letter in a week and that was 5 weeks ago.
The rental office here at Harford Moble Village is hounding me about this roof, the want a start date or I might have to move out of the park. I cam not able to pay a private contractor to fix this roof that is why I ask for help.
I would like to have someone call me at this number if that is possible to do. You can speak to Beverly Albert she helps me understand what is being said. Her number is 443 356 2623. I would like to hear from you as soon as you can get this.
Thank you
Mary Moore/Beverly Albert

410-638-4434 That is the number for Habitat. It seems unusual to me that you would have to send them money. I have spoken to them before and they are very helpful. I urge you to call them at that number.

Hi Noble, thanks so much for sharing our phone number with Mary & Beverly. Just so there’s no confusion, we do require each Repair Program Applicant to submit a $20 check to cover the cost of a credit/background report. That’s been part of our program since the inception. In addition, we now also require the families that receive repairs to share in 15% of the cost of the repair. This is a very small part of what it would cost for them to have the repair done by a contractor, creates a partnership in the repair between the family and Habitat (which is a cornerstone of the Habitat model), and helps us assist additional families. We have been blessed to assist many, many families with critical repairs in the past several years. We also now have funding to specifically help Veteran homeowners with repairs. If you know of any Veterans that need assistance please point them in our direction. It would be wonderful to serve those who have selflessly served us and our country. Thanks so much again for sharing our number and spreading the good news about our program.

Mary/Beverly, There was a letter sent to Mary at 1870 Emily Drive, Edgewood, MD 21040 on January 12. This letter listed an item that needed to be acted upon and gave our phone number if there were any questions. We had not heard from you after the letter was sent so your file was closed. I will contact you today to see if you need another copy of the letter and we can go from there. Thank you
