The cause of a fire, which caused an estimated $15,000 worth of damage in a Darlington barn on Monday morning, remains under investigation.
Just after 9:30 a.m. Monday, homeowner Russell Dods discovered a fire inside his 40-foot by 40-foot two-story wooden barn in the 2900 block of Dublin Road in Darlington.
Thirty firefighters from Darlington, Whiteford, Bel Air, Level, and Delta-Cardiff responded to the single-alarm and had the blaze under control within a half hour.
The fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the barn and $5,000 in damage to its contents.
No one was injured during the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and anyone with information concerning the fire is asked to contact the Bel Air Office of the State Fire Marshal at (410) 836-4844.
