From Harford County Public Schools:
Joppatowne High School’s Spanish National Honor Society recently took time to support the troops overseas. Members composed letters of appreciation in Spanish and prepared care packages to be sent to deployed Spanish-speaking service members as a part of the organization’s service project.
Major Daniel Mattei, a 20th Support Command (CBRNE) nuclear and counterproliferation officer, spoke to students on March 5, 2012 about the importance of their project and how much their efforts would be appreciated by Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines currently serving. Major Mattei’s wife, Joppatowne High Spanish teacher Amadelis Mattei also spoke about how much the care packages are appreciated by military families.
Jason Holloway says
I love this. As somebody with close ties to the troops I cannot tell you how good this makes them feel. Please, keep up the good work. It’s very much appreciated.
