From the Aberdeen Police Department:
On 7-17-12 at about 5:40 p.m., employees at the WaWa store at 231 N. Philadelphia Boulevard called police to report a possible theft and credit card fraud that had just occurred.
Investigation revealed that a female entered the WaWa and attempted purchase several pre-paid phone cards with a credit card. The WaWa employee noticed a problem with card and questioned the female attempting to use it. The female pick up the card and left the store.
The WaWa employee was able to provide the police with a description of the female and the vehicle. In the area of the Aberdeen Thruway and Paradise Road patrol officers stopped a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect vehicle. Officers recovered over 30 fraudulent credit cards, a laptop computer as well as a credit card skimmer (re-encoder).
Arrested at the scene of the traffic stop were Kendra S. Gilbert, 21, of 18000 block Maugin Ave, New York, New York; and Presand R Bell, 22, of 18000 block 140 th Ave. New York, New York. The two face numerous theft and fraud charges and are currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center.
The U.S. Secret Service is assisting in the investigation; it is possible these individuals have been involved in similar criminal activity in other areas.
