Mikulski put $230,400 in federal checkbook to support mentoring programs, including new Mentoring Military Youth effort
At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) will join Boys and Girls Clubs of Harford County Executive Director Randy Acosta, Chief Executive Officer of Boys and Girls Clubs of America Jim Clark and CECOM Deputy to the Commanding General of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Gary Martin in launching new mentoring programs for kids of military families.
The programs announced will serve 200 local at-risk kids, including 85 kids of military families and 25 kids at APG. This is the first joint mentoring program between B&GC of Harford County and APG that will serve kids on base.
