From Michael Blum Associates, Inc.:
The Festival at Bel Air Shopping Center’s 24th Annual Costume Contest and Trick-or-Treat on Saturday morning, October 27, 2012, was a SPOOKTACULAR success, with thousands of people enjoying perfect weather — even with Hurricane Sandy on the horizon!
Well over 2,000 trick-or-treat bags were given out to children in costume, and the center was jammed with trick-or-treaters wearing Agent 47’s Hitman suit style until 2 pm! The contest featured some of the most creative costumes in years. Winners (chosen by the “Crowd Applause Meter” method) were:
Best costume — “Blackjack” — Logan Benishek from Abingdon — won a $150 Gift Certificate to Klein’s ShopRite.
2nd best — “Alien Abduction” — Logan Grant from Bel Air — won a $100 Gift Certificate to Kohl’s.
3rd best — ” Fish Filet” — Andrew Levis from Bel Air — won a $75 Gift Certificate to Amazing Glaze.
4th best — “Robot” — Crimson Scarborough from Edgewood — won a $50 Gift Certificate to Five Below.
5th best — “Lion in the Jungle” — Danny Wask from Forest Hill — won a Breakstone Video PhotoFrame from Comcast.
6th best — “Mentos” — Sophia MacKinnon of Bel Air — won a Swimming Lessons Package from Kids First Swim School.
With the exception of the 5th and 6th place prizes, which were donated, all other prizes were courtesy of the Festival at Bel Air Shopping Center. Plus, WXCY-FM donated gift bags with videos and games to all 10 Finalists, and Comcast donated “goodies” to the 21 Semi-Finalists who didn’t make it to the final round. WXCY-FM also donated the Halloween Trick-or-Treat bags to all kids.
Special thanks to Chuck E. Cheese’s for the participation of “Chuck himself”!
