Days after a Street man was shot and killed in his home and a visitor to Eden Mill Park was robbed in broad daylight, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office had no new information to make public in either case, and is seeking leads and suspects in both.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Michael Crabbs said police continue to look for three suspects, described as African-American men with their faces partially covered and wearing non-descript clothing, who broke into a home in the 1200 block of Trappe Road and fatally shot Thomas Anderson, 38, in an apparent robbery.
Crabbs had no further updates in the case, which he said remains a “very active” investigation.
Information is also sought in the daylight armed robbery Wednesday of a man walking in Eden Mill Park. According to police, William Welk, 32, of Shrewsbury, Pa. was exiting the park with friends when the group was accosted at gunpoint by two African-American men in their 20s. The pair demanded and received Welk’s wallet before fleeing in a dark-colored car.
According to Crabbs, a short time later a deputy in an unmarked police car observed a dark-colored vehicle at a 7-Eleven in Jarrettsville and observed the car until a single individual exited the store and got into the car. Deputies stopped the man, who Crabbs said was cooperative, answered questions, and allowed a search of his vehicle. The victims of the armed robbery were asked to identify the man, but confirmed that he was not involved; the individual was subsequently released.

I bet anyone that these upstanding suspects are robbers, murders and on some type of public assistance. Just make sure if you bet me you have a lot of money because I’m gonna be rich. Also if one of these idiots try this crap at my house the only thing that’s gonna need to be called is a funeral home and I don’t give warnings.

Just remember …
When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away.
Who Dunnit says
I hope that this isn’t a new strategy of the 40 corridor criminals. That strategy being traveling to the northern part of the county where it is easy to find unsuspecting targets. Seriously…Eden Mill? What about the jogger mugged at gun point on 924? A jogger. What jogger is going to be carrying anything substantial worth sticking him up? SMH.
Police Are Worthless says
Give me my CCW permit and you keep writing traffic tickets. We will do what needs doing here.
Harford Citizen says
I know many folks who aren’t waiting around for a CC permit….they carry anyway. No one is going to take care of you and your family but you…..

I’m the guy that the police apprehended at the 7-Eleven now I am in adt sales person with my adt gear on…. I would like to know how did they mistake me as a robber.
I would hate to speculate on a motive on why I was chosen,
Concerned says
Is there any new information from the Sheriff’s office on these crimes? Perhaps I’ve missed an update on the status of the investigations. The silence is deafening for citizens in the northern part of the county.
Ralph says
None that I’m aware of. Quite right, the silence is very deafening!
Aaron Cahall says
I’ll ask for an update, and let you know what I find out.
Aaron Cahall says
I asked HCSO earlier this week for any new information, further suspect descriptions, etc. They had no new updates and said both cases are “still under investigation.”
