A Dunkin Donuts in the Joppatowne Plaza would be a welcome addition. The closed Pizza Hut is becoming an eyesore.

Why not a Starbucks and Barnes & Noble? Nothing against Dunkin Donuts (they’re everywhere), but why does the Joppatowne area continue to downplay the possibilities of using that shopping center corner in a more positive light?
It’s perfect location allows it to become a PREMIER GATEWAY of important retail & community oriented activities with beautiful and creative design concepts to attract a multitude of clientele and citizens.
Many years ago that location was chosen to be the project for college students getting their degrees in urban renewal and development. Some very outstanding ideas and visionary concepts were presented to the Joppatowne Community Council but it went nowhere. CHANGE could have put Joppatowne into the limelight as a beautiful and sustainable destination, reflecting regrowth and progress. Redevelopment using sustainable design w/careful lighting, gorgeous landscaping, park-like walkways, inviting storefronts, and useful consumer-friendly shops and businesses to meet the needs of the community is exactly what is needed!
We need to revisit this possibility for positive change! Does Councilman Dion Guthrie support/encourage a better vision for this community? Do the citizens who pass by that area and live in or near Joppatowne want to see a BETTER image and an inviting place to visit? Let’s get the ball rolling!.

Great idea! Lets also put in a Cold Stone Creamery in place of the proposed Baskin Robbins, Five Guys instead of the Wendy’s, Whole Foods instead of Redners, and buy out the Farmer’s Market to put in a Nordstroms. We’ll gentrify Joppatowne by only allowing the sale of high-end products! /s
