From Harford County government:
Allison Mosley, a Public Safety Dispatcher III and Acting Fire Dispatch Supervisor with the Harford County Department of Emergency Services (DES) has been named “Telecommicator of the Year” for Harford County by the State Emergency Number Systems Board. Ms. Mosley and her colleagues from throughout the state were recognized during at the “9 1 1 Day of Celebration” in Sykesville, Maryland.
Ms. Mosley, who has served the Harford County Department of Emergency Services since November 2006, was nominated by Shift Manager Timothy Coale.
In his nomination of Ms. Mosley, Shift Manager Coale stated, “Allison is the consummate professional in all communications with our clients and coworkers. She treats all coworkers equally and is most likely the most empathetic call taker our agency employs.
Ms. Mosley is assigned to the fire dispatch work team. In this position she is responsible for the dispatch and communications with all fire and EMS units. Additionally, Ms. Mosley is called upon from time to time to assist the 9 1 1 Center in call taking and police dispatch, as well as temporary fire dispatch supervisor.
In concluding his nomination, Shift Manager Coale stated, “Allison has excelled at every task she has been assigned. She is a strong employee, and provides a positive example and is a strong role model for other employees to follow”.
“We are fortunate to have such dedicated and talented personnel in the Harford County 9 1 1 Center” said Ross Coates, Manager of the 9 1 1 Center. “Allison exemplifies the commitment to excellence our employees strive for each day in serving the citizens of Harford County,” Coates added.
Also commenting on the award, Director Russell J. Strickland said, “Allison is a valued asset and outstanding member of our department. We are pleased to see she has been recognized for her hard work, dedication and selfless service”.
