A vacant Perryman mobile home was damaged in a Wednesday night fire, fire officials said.
The fire was reported shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday evening in the living room of a 14-foot by 60-foot vacant mobile home in the rear of an address in the 1600 block of Perryman Road in Perryman, according to a release from the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A total of 30 firefighters from the Aberdeen, Aberdeen Proving Ground, and Abingdon fire companies responded and brought the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes. Damage to the structure was estimated at $2,000.
According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, a black Chevrolet Cobalt vehicle was observed in the area and appeared suspicious prior to the fire. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northeast Regional Office at 410-836-4844, or the Elkton Office at 410-996-2793.
