From the Aberdeen Police Department:
The Aberdeen Police Department Traffic Unit investigated an accident where a pedestrian was struck on Monday, April 06, 2015. The accident occurred around 10:30a.m. in the 200 block of N. Philadelphia Blvd.
The pedestrian was identified as 30–year-old Richard Elberson of Aberdeen, MD. Elberson was crossing N. Philadelphia Blvd and walked into the side of a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicle was driven by Desiree Robinson of Fort Drum, NY.
Elberson was transported to University of Maryland Medical Center by Maryland State Police medevac. The medevac landed at Festival Park in Aberdeen. Elberson sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was found to be at fault in the accident and was charged. Robinson and a passenger in the vehicle were not injured.
