From the office of U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski:
MIKULSKI STATEMENT ON SUPREME COURT MARRIAGE EQUALITY RULING
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.), today released the following statement on the Supreme Court’s ruling to legalize same-sex marriage.
“Today is a day of great joy and celebration. The Supreme Court has ruled that all loving couples, regardless of who you are, who you love or where you live, deserve equal protection and opportunity under the law. Many thanks to those who’ve fought so hard and so long for this historic victory for marriage equality.”

Uh, hey Babs; ever heard oh that little document called the CONSTITUTION? Just so you know, your party has been shedding it to pieces for the last 30 years!

First, both parties have wiped their butts with the Constitution, on a regular basis, for as long as I can remember. Under the Republican watch, the Fourth Amendment became a figment of the imagination in their pathetic war on drugs. This didn’t get corrected until 2013 – Jardines v. US/Florida. The Democrats have the Affordable Health Care Act, which in my mind is unconstitutional because it forces you to acquire Health Insurance. However, ObamaCare, does make insurance available to ALL americans and the Supreme Court has approved it, even though it is clearly unconstitutional. To criticize one political party without acknowledging the fact that the other is just as guilty, is hypocritical. Besides, the Republican Party has been trying to restrict the voting rights of minorities since slavery ended. Get real about your criticism. Your county’s Court System, Law Enforcement and County Government carry out illegal and unconstitutional acts every single day. Please, stop being a partisan jack off…….
from God to government says
SCOTUS has taken marriage between two people, a state controlled privilege, and elevated it to a ‘Right’ equal to all the ‘God given’ rights of individuals. This opens the door for government given ‘Right’ interpretations. Next up, the individual right to bear arms can become a group privilege given by the state to the state – defined as militias.
SoulCrusher says
SCOTUS has been being a little “creative” in their interpretation of the law recently. Their job is to decide the constitutionality of laws. They seem to be rewriting laws. I’m not disagreeing that gays should be allowed to marry or whether or not ObamaCare is good for the country. What I am saying is they seem to be disregarding the letter of the law and even have been very “creative” in their interpretation. I’m just not sure that is what they are supposed to do. I’m for ObamaCare and if a homosexual couple want to get married, its not going to effect me in the least. As for GUN Control, if you ALL can’t see the writing on the wall already, then you should be hiding guns as much as possible. The time is coming. I don’t know how or when, but we will be a lot like the UK in the future. Bank on it……

I think Babs has a little skin in this game, if you know what I mean.

I love my parrot. I want to marry her. She’s somewhat of a bird brain but that’s what I like about her. When I ask her to bend over she says ” pollie get it in da cracker”. …. This is so annoying. Can we pass a law to make her bend over so I don’t have to force her? Funny thing, I can’t tell what sex it is. Does that really matter…lol
