From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
Harford County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are seeking two suspects in connection with a robbery and shooting that occurred late Monday night in Edgewood.
On March 7th, at approximately 11:41 p.m., deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct were dispatched to the 700 block of Monticello Court in Edgewood for the report of a person suffering from a possible gunshot wound. Upon arrival, deputies located one victim with multiple gunshot wounds in the roadway, next to a taxi cab. The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, by Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter, for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene to continue the investigation. Detectives assigned to the Forensic Services Unit processed the scene evidence.
During the preliminary investigation, detectives determined the female victim, age 42, was a passenger in a taxi. When the taxi stopped to pick up a fare, the vehicle was approached by two suspects. One suspect produced a handgun. The male driver was able to flee to safety. The female victim was shot. Detectives are working to identify suspects and the initial motive for the shooting appears to be robbery. This investigation is ongoing.
At this time, the suspects are being described as black males, in their late teens or early 20’s. One was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt; the other was wearing a light blue hooded jacket with a black mask covering part of his face.
