UPDATE: At approximately 1:40 PM, Andrew Sun Lee, 21 years of age from the unit block of Taft Street in Aberdeen was placed under arrest at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace. Mr. Lee was identified as the lone suspect in the murder of 27 year old, Ericka Lanai Satterfield of Baltimore. Mr. Lee had gone to the emergency room to receive treatment for several lacerations that are believed to be self-inflicted, having occurred during the vicious attack on Ms. Satterfield.
The victim, Ms. Satterfield, was in the Aberdeen area visiting family. At approximately 1:47 AM, July 29, 2016 she was brutally attacked in the 100 block of N. Post Road. She suffered numerous stab wounds to her chest, neck, and face before being discovered by a neighbor. Ms. Satterfield was transported to Harford Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
At this time there is no known motive for the attack. Investigation continues to try and determine if the suspect and victim knew one another.
UPDATE: At 7:51 AM, the victim was identified as 27 year old, Ericka Lanai Satterfield from the 1100 block of Bonaparte Avenue in Baltimore. The investigation is active and Detective’s from the Aberdeen Police Department have one male person detained for questioning. At this time there is no additional information.

On July 29, 2016 at approximately 1:47 AM, Officers responded to the 100 block of N. Post Road in reference to an assault. Officers arrived and found a female suffering from stab wounds.
The female was transported to a local emergency facility by Aberdeen Fire Department ambulance where at she later succumbed to her injuries. At this time the suspect is only described as a male.
The identity of the victim is not being disclosed at this time pending notification of next of kin. This continues to be an active investigation.
