From University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health:
The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation has appointed two new members to its board of directors: Lorraine Mayo, president of University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary, and Joseph Snee, Jr., Esq., shareholder of Snee, Lutche, Helmlinger & Spielberger, P.A., Attorneys at Law.
The Foundation supports the mission of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) by developing relationships with local citizens and organizations who wish to take part in the expansion and improvement of health care services provided in Harford County.
“We are fortunate to have Lorraine and Joe join our board,” said Lyle Sheldon, president and CEO of UM UCH. “Through the combined experience and commitment of our board members, we are able to make critically important investments that ensure we remain the highest quality health care provider in Harford County.”
Mayo, who has been a volunteer with UM Harford Memorial Hospital for six years, retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation at Sparrows Point. An active member of Ames United Methodist Church in Bel Air, she is also a member of its usher board, scholarship committee, finance committee and the United Methodist Women.
A graduate of Frederick Douglass High School in Baltimore, Mayo enjoys reading, movies, the theater and taking trips with her husband, Joseph, Sr.
Snee, one of the leading real estate and development attorneys in Harford County, has extensive experience in land use, real estate, landlord/tenant, business, construction, criminal and litigation. A member of the Maryland Environmental Services board of directors since 1994, he has also served as campaign chairman for various Harford County Circuit Court judges.
Outside the office, Snee is involved in a variety of local charity and community efforts and enjoys rooting on the Maryland Terps and other Baltimore sports teams. A graduate of the University of Maryland College Park and the University of Maryland School of Law, Snee is married with two children.
