Bel Air Library Receives Donation of Discovery Carts; Street’s ICR, Inc., Manufactures Carts that Recharge Digital Devices

The Bel Air Library recently received a donation from Interactive Communications Research, Inc. (ICR, Inc.) of two discovery carts to recharge digital devices.

The carts are fireproof charging containers that hold digital devices. If an electronic device heats up and catches fire, it will be contained in the cart to protect the library and its collections. The carts are made of American steel and assembled in Maryland.

ICR, Inc., a veteran-owned business based in Street, is the designer, patent holder, manufacturer and fabricator of steel classroom technology carts under the discoverycart.com brand.

“We are pleased to receive two discovery carts from Interactive Communications Research for the Bel Air Library,” said Mary Hastler, CEO of Harford County Public Library. “These locally made technology carts will be a big help in keeping our devices safely charged and stored for our library customers. We are grateful for library users who consider ways they can support their local branches with donations of products, services, time and talent.”

Miles A. Konopka, president/owner of Interactive Communications Research, Inc., said, “It is our privilege to donate these Maryland-made, veteran-owned ICR, Inc., products to Harford County Public Library and to the citizens of Harford County.”

Harford County Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established to raise funds to augment the financial resources of Harford County Public Library and to promote awareness of its services.
