Waste Oil Recycling Locations Spared  

Faced with closing nine waste oil and antifreeze recycling locations, the Harford Co. Dept. of Public Works consulted with officials at Md. Environmental Services (MES). Through a grant program from MES & with additional funds from Harford County, we are able to keep the waste oil recycling locations open for another year. The cost of the service is $65,000 per year.  

July 4 - Information for those who may be interested: Washington D.C. Tea Party March for Liberty Bus Trip on July 4 at 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The host is Tea Party Activists & March for Liberty & Restore America's Mission. Roundtrip bus departs the Pikesville Hilton to Washington, D.C. Upper Senate Park. Contact Restore America at 410-984-2194.

July 4 – Come visit Bel Air for a day filled with activities for everyone. Flag raising, pancake breakfast, children’s events, parade, and FIREWORKS.  Parade route will be south from Broadway on the new Main Street, ending at Idlewild on 924.

Aug 8 – Vendors are being sought for St. Mary’s Episcopal Church’s 5th Annual Peach Festival to be held. on August 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Interested vendors should contact Rita Gribbell (jrgribbell@yahoo.com) for an application for a $10 booth space; tables can be rented for an additional $5 (supplies are limited).  The event will be held at 1 St. Mary’s Church Road (off Route 924), Abingdon.  It is being sponsored by the Women of St. Mary’s.
