I have had one of those buggers forever. They are great...they can give you a map and a little blip showing YOU on the map. When you navagate at night landmarks can be confused and mistaken for other landmarks...with a gps that mistake cant be made. The screen can be adjusted so you can move through an unmarked channel without even looking away from the screen. Of course you still need to see objects in your way so you must look in front of you. I have traveled in foul wether many times...and on the ocean off of long island...with no landmarks what so ever...very sucessfully. All you need do is get familier...watch out for other vessels...and badda bing ..its as simple as tom-tom in a car. In fact he still has his path from that night saved on a smartcard chip.
