HCC Women’s Tennis Makes Bold Statement, Coming Away With The Spoils

BEL AIR, Md.—The Harford women’s tennis team dropped just one match as it felled Rockville, 8-1, for the second time this season on Monday afternoon at Harford CC.
After their first dual match loss of the season against St. Mary’s last Friday, the Fighting Owls (7-0, 5-0 MDJUCO) No. 1 doubles team of freshman Ashley Sherinsky (Fallston, Md./Fallston) and sophomore Katrina Tiedeman (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) made a bold statement with a love set, 8-0 win over Shadaia Otto and Jennifer Gregory.
The No. 2 team of freshmen Kelsey Strine (Abingdon, Md./Edgewood) and Agnes Burke (Havre de Grace, Md./Havre de Grace), teaming together for the first time, defeated Nadine Montforte and Aleunia Nakamura, 8-2, while in the No. 3 position sophomore Julie Strong (Bel Air, Md./C.
