Former Celebrity Dance Winner Betty Ward Is Honorary Chair For 2nd Annual “Dancing For The Arts” Gala

Bel Air, MD (August 3, 2009) – Community organizer, Betty Ward graciously agreed to be the Honorary Chair of the 2nd Annual “Dancing for the Arts” Gala.

Mrs. Ward was a celebrity dancer at the event last year and won the “Top Fundraiser” and “People’s Choice” Awards. Mrs. Ward said that she has always loved to dance and her rendition of the foxtrot, complete with a spinning lift, won the hearts of the viewers who cast their votes in the “Peoples Choice” category after the competition was broadcast on Harford Cable for three months. Edgewood Ranks Its Representatives: From The Good (Guthrie), To The Bad (Boniface)

Rather than wait until Election Day to let their representatives know how they feel about them, Edgewood residents recently participated in an appraisal process measuring the relationship between their officials and the community they purportedly represent.

Looking at the results, it’s immediately clear that Edgewood loves Harford County Councilman Dion Guthrie, but feels County Council President Billy Boniface and others “often fail to fulfill expectations of the community.”
