Whenever I have to use the telephone, and a recording comes on asking do I want to continue this Conversation in English or Spanish it really gets my gall!
We are being pushed from every direction by business and the government to speak and read Spanish.
This is an English-speaking nation!
Now the blame does not lie with the Spanish-speaking people.
The blame lies with big business and our congress. Big business because of the greed they share with Congress. Big business for the money and votes they want to tap from any and all sources, without any interest in our National Pride. Congress, because they won’t take a stand on the illegal immigration problem that faces our nation.
I am for all people who want to immigrate to this country as long as the do it according to our laws.

As an illegal alien, already residing in the United States, or someone planning to come here unauthorized, your future prospects have increased dramatically. Although George Bush dropped the ball on the issue of illegals and damaged our nation in many ways with the arrival of almost 20 million now living in America, his defective leadership on this issue pales in comparison to what President Obama has planned. When the voters sent Mr. Obama to the White House, they had little knowledge of his amnesty philosophy related to illegal immigration. Mr. Obama, his opponent John McCain, and the national news media conspired to remove the issue of illegal immigration from the spotlight during the 2008 Presidential election. This troubling issue, which so many Americans continue to be concerned about, mysteriously disappeared from the national debates.

Although most people believe that politicians are all the same, my experience has been that this assumption is far from the truth. I believe that many elected officials have different approaches to the way they represent the people. During my three terms in public office, I have always had one guiding principle that was based on the belief that the people elected me to do a job. They are the bosses and their interests are the only priority that I have. My legislative agenda reflects that commitment.
My crime victim legislation agenda included Jessica’s Law Part II – Truth in Sentencing. This bill was created to eliminate good time credits and early release for certain types of criminals.
