Knife-Wielding Man Fatally Shot By Harford Sheriff’s Deputy In Bel Air

Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a domestic dispute that occurred in the 1000 block of Ellicott Drive Bel Air, Maryland on October 31, 2009 at approximately 1210 p.m. that resulted in the death of resident Jason Lawrence, 23.

A 911 call was received by the Emergency Operation Center that indicated a domestic dispute was occurring and residents were being threatened by a subject with a knife. The first responding deputy was met by a family member in front of the residence who stated Jason Lawrence was inside the residence armed with a knife.

Upon the deputy entering the residence he encountered Mr. Lawrence who threatened him with a knife. In fear for his safety as well as others in the residence the deputy drew his firearm and fired striking Mr. Lawrence several times in the torso area.

Police Charge Two In Halloween Night Stabbing At Fallston Bar

From Maryland State Police:

On November 1, 2009 at approximately 01:22 a.m. troopers from the Bel Air Barrack responded to Tully’s Bar located at 2403 Belair Road, Fallston, Md. to assist the Harford County Sheriff’s office with a fight in progress.

Upon arrival it was learned that one of the confrontations involved a Tyrell Lamont YOUNG (B/M, 22 yoa, Edgewood resident) who had been removed from the establishment by security. Upon walking towards the rear of the establishment this suspect became involved in another fight with security. Tfc. W. Johnson observed the altercation and immediately apprehended YOUNG and shortly afterwards Sgt. J. Kloiber received information that YOUNG allegedly stabbed a subject inside the bar. Further information was later developed concerning a second suspect, Douglas Reginald GREEN (B/M, 25 yoa, Aberdeen resident), being a participant in the crime.

Police Investigate Carjacking, Armed Robbery And Kidnapping Of Woman In Joppa

From Maryland State Police:

On Monday, October 26, 2009 at about 10:00 pm troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack responded to the 300 block of Philadelphia Road, Joppa, Md. for a reported victim of a carjacking and robbery.

Troopers learned upon arrival that the victim Kara Smithson, 20 of Pylesville, Md. was accosted by three black males while occupying her silver 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt in the Harford Square neighborhood of Edgewood, Md who forced their way into Smithson’s vehicle. The victim then said she was driven to the Philadelphia Road location in Joppa where she was forced out of her vehicle.

During the trip the victim said she was struck in the head/face on several occasions and threatened with a handgun and knife by the suspects. The suspects also attempted to extort money for the victim’s release from her relatives.

Troopers Solve Armed Robbery Of Edgewood Royal Farm Store

On Tuesday, October 13, 2009 Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack responded to the Royal Farm Store located at 630 Edgewood Road, Edgewood, Maryland for a reported armed robbery. Upon arrival troopers learned that a light skinned H/M or B/M forced the victim/clerk at knife-point to handover an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register. During the robbery the tip of the knife blade actually made physical contact with the victim’s back on two occasions, causing two small indentations on the victim’s lower back.

Troopers were able to retrieve surveillance of the suspect inside the establishment. It was noted that the suspect was clothed in a white “A-shirt” which exposed his arms and upper back. Edgewood Royal Farms Store Robbed At Knifepoint

From Maryland State Police:

On 10/13/09 at approximately 1:45 a.m., Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack were dispatched to the Royal Farms Store located in the 600 block of Edgewood Road for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, troopers made contact with a store employee who advised that a man with a white t-shirt covering his face entered the store and produced a knife. He ordered the clerk to open the register and then removed an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot towards Hanson Road.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, medium muscular build, height approximately 6-00, with tattoos on both arms. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a white tank top t-shirt and blue jeans.

Domestic Dispute Ends With Stabbing/Attempted Murder In Bel Air

On 09/26/2009 at approximately 0335 hours, Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack were directed to respond to 1007 Conowingo Road, Bel Air, MD for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, Troopers found the V/C, Ronald Francis Gentry, W/M, DOB 08/15/1960 of the aforementioned address to have been stabbed in the left arm and bleeding profusely. The suspect, Bryan Thomas Hewitt, DOB 10/12/1983 also of the Conowingo Road address had gotten into a physical altercation with his girlfriend, Andrea Renee Young, W/F, DOB 8/10/1984, in their bedroom on the first floor of the residence, at which time, her sister, Elaina Marie Donahoo, W/F, DOB 12/3/1991 stepped in between Hewitt and his girlfriend. Updated: Baltimore Man Caught After Near Fatal Edgewood Stabbing

(Edgewood, MD – September 9, 2009) At approximately 8:35pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 1600 block of Meadowood Court for a fight in progress involving a knife.

Upon arrival, deputies located the victim in his neighbor’s home, located in the same block, suffering from suspected stab wounds to the upper torso region of his body. The victim, Gerry Harriette, a 33-year-old male, who resides in the 1600 block of Meadowood Court was transported by the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company to John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He is currently listed in critical condition.

Bel Air Sex Offender Charged With Kidnapping Aberdeen Woman At Knifepoint

(Abingdon, MD) Troopers investigate alleged kidnapping and serious assault case in Abingdon, Maryland. Accused is a registered sex-offender in Harford County, MD.

On August 30, 2009 at approximately 11:52 p.m. troopers from the Bel Air Barrack were dispatched to the 7-11 convenience Store located at MD 7 and Abingdon Road for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, troopers made contact with the female victim (39 yoa, Aberdeen resident) whom they found bruised and bleeding. The investigation revealed that the victim was a passenger in the suspect’s vehicle traveling from Aberdeen to Edgewood. The driver/suspect was identified as Paul Gerard Johnson Jr. of the 1000 block of Wingate Court in Bel Air.

Deputies Investigate Triple Stabbing And Assault In Joppa

(Harford County, MD – January 31, 2009) – Harford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a triple stabbing and assault which occurred in the area of Mountain Road (Route 152) and Old Mountain Road North, Joppa, MD at approximately 1:50 a.m. this morning.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a call from Baltimore County Police who advised they were out with a vehicle near Middle River Road with three occupants who claimed they had been stabbed in Harford County. Investigation revealed the victims were traveling home in their black SUV from the Port Sports Bar and Nightclub located in the 2400 block of Bel Air Road, Fallston, MD where they had a verbal disagreement with an unknown subject.

(Harford County, MD – January 29, 2009) – Harford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a home invasion and assault that occurred in the 3700 block of Torey Lane, Abingdon, MD on January 27, 2009 at approximately 8:35 p.m.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. the 17 year old female resident was watching television when she heard a knock at the door. She believed the person to be a neighbor and when she opened the door, a male subject forced his way into the residence.
