Now I feel much safer walking the streets of our major (and minor) cities now that I know there are costumed vigilantes looking out for us. After hearing about the website on the Ed Norris Show this morning, I decided to check out the World Superhero Registry.
Who’s your favorite?
Mine has to be Tothian (as seen in the picture to the right). After all, he lists Osama bin Laden as one of his arch enemies. In fact, he’s the only one of the “active” superheroes listed in the registry with the guts enough to pick an arch enemy. Hopefully the President is aware of Tothian’s abilities so we can finally capture OBL.

Walking will become the official state exercise today, thanks to legislation from Maryland. Del. William A. Bronrott of Montgomery County. This bill was obviously a reaction to one that goes into effect today that named Smith Island Cake the official state desert. Well, at least we all walk a little each day, so we are no longer fibbing when we tell out doctors at yearly checkups that, according to the state at least, we do exercise daily.
Here are a few other laws that go into effect today:
- A Truth in Music Advertising Law. Basically, bands can’t use the same name and perform the same songs as other bands, or be fined up to $15,000.
