Maryland Natural Resources Police Charge Two With Poaching

From the Maryland Department of Natural Resources:

WHITE MARSH, MD (December 29, 2009) – The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) charged Raymond Louis Biensach Jr., 38, of Essex, Md. on December 23, with hunting without a license in possession, hunting without written permission, and possession of a deer during closed season. In addition, Cody Lee Blakely, 19, of Street, Md. was charged with hunting without written permission, and possession of a deer during closed season.

The two were apprehended after NRP officers responded to Loreley Beach Road for a poaching complaint. The officers stopped the both men after observing them attempting to leave the area in possession of a deer while carrying shotguns, which are prohibited for deer hunting this time of year.

Former Delegate Al Redmer Jr. Seeks District 7 State Senate Seat

White Marsh, MD, October, 15, 2008 – Over 70 business and community members gathered yesterday for a breakfast fundraiser in White Marsh, MD to show their support for Al Redmer Jr.’s quest to fill Senator Andy Harris’s seat in the 7th Legislative District of the Maryland Senate.

Redmer, a long-time business and political figure in the state, is forging ahead to fill Harris’s Senate seat if Harris is elected as the newest Maryland Congressman in November. Redmer, a strong supporter of Harris, strives to finish Harris’s term and build a solid foundation to retain the seat in the 2010 election.

Perhaps as a last-ditch effort to help drum up support for the sinking presidential candidate, or maybe just to show it off before it became completely irrelevant, Harford County Councilman Dion Guthrie unveiled a photograph last week showing him and Sen. Hillary Clinton meeting, shaking hands and evidently discussing the state of the Union while she was campaigning in Baltimore County.

Guthrie, a Democrat representing the Edgewood and Joppatowne area, passed the picture along to a small group of associates and, upon further inquiry, explained the photo opportunity came in mid-February when Sen. Clinton made a stop at the General Motors Allison Transmission Plant in White Marsh.
