Also an elderly woman burned to death in her home in Jarrettsville yesterday. They think from her pellet stove. Her son watched her engulfed in flames. Feel so bad for all of them!

News releases such as this should be translated from the technical to the lay mans terms. We do appreciate the info though !

First of all, what are the bravo and delta sides and what is a 1050 PI? Are you all kidding? Was the editor off?

10-50= code for accident/collision
P.I.= Personal Injury (1050 PI is a collision with injuries)
Sides of a structure (such as a house) are A B C D or 1 2 3 4.
Side facing person is 1 (or A), and counter clockwise or clockwise is 2 3 4 or B C D

The technical article doesn’t mention if anyone was home, if any of the surrounding homes were damaged, how extensive the damage was, etc. Or if it is mentioned in fire jargon, I’m missing it! But I do appreciate the fact that it is mentioned at all. I didn’t see it on tv and I think it got about 1/2″ of column space in the Slaegis.

I’m just happy that no one was hurt….and I’m happy that the Hose Company finally had a real fire to put out!

Blue – it was on Channel 11 as breaking news. The TV helicopter was hovering over my house for the whole broadcast.
