From Harford County Councilman Dion Guthrie’s office:
The next District A Advisory Board Meeting will be held on Monday, February 23rd, 6:30 p.m., in the Edgewood Senior Center. This will be a very important meeting. The most important item on the agenda will be the new $400 million incinerator plant on Rt. 152. This is a major project that is going to be constructed in your district. Councilman Guthrie needs all the input he can possibly get from the citizens as to their pros and cons to this project. Mr. Guthrie has stated that this project will cost twice as much as the ongoing construction of Patterson Mill High, Bel Air High, Edgewood High and Deerfield Elementary Schools combined.
In addition, if you have seen the existing incinerator plant, which is right at the entrance of APG on Rt. 152, the new facility would quadruple that space. This “Bill” came before the Council last Tuesday night and Councilman Guthrie asked to hold it over until the Council could get the full input from all of the citizens.
