BEL AIR, Md.—The Harford men’s lacrosse team dropped two games last weekend as it visited defending national champion Nassau and Suffolk. The Fighting Owls (3-3) were downed, 16-3 at Suffolk on Saturday and fell 18-3 to Nassau on Sunday.
Sophomore Chad Palmer (Fallston, Md./Fallston), the reigning national player of the week, led the Owls with three points on the weekend, tallying a goal against Suffolk and adding two of the Owls’ three total goals against Nassau.
Freshman Joe Rosenkilde (Monkton, Md./North Harford) was also a multiple-point scorer for Harford as he tallied a goal and assisted on one more in the game versus Suffolk, while freshman Branden Kenny (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) added the only other goal against Suffolk and freshman Luke Turner (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) added the final goal against Nassau.
Freshmen Miles Dance (Edgewood, Md./Joppatowne) and Jake Crenshaw (Hamilton, Md./North Harford) had the only other points for the Owls, each adding an assist in the games on Sunday and Saturday, respectively.
Freshman Bryan Burrill (Forest Hill, Md./C. Milton Wright) took on the goalie duties for Harford, and played in all but six minutes on the weekend, due to a slashing penalty he sustained in the game versus Suffolk. Sophomore Russell Harrell (Joppatowne, Md./Joppatowne) took over the keeper duties in Burrill’s absence, and made one save while allowing two goals. Burrill totaled 32 saves on the weekend, 16 in each game.
