More than 60 Participating Organizations
(Bel Air, MD – April 8, 2009) – – The Harford County Department of Community Services is proud to present the 1st Annual Volunteer Expo, designed to inform the community about volunteer opportunities available throughout Harford County. The Volunteer Expo will be held Saturday, April 25 at Patterson Mill Middle-High School, in Bel Air, from 9am-noon.
Have you ever thought about volunteering but didn’t know where to start or what opportunities were available? Do you want to spend quality time with your family while helping the community? Does your child need more service learning hours? Would you like to meet new people and have fun? If you answered yes to any of these, come to the Volunteer Expo!
The Volunteer Expo is free and open to people of all ages. With over 60 participating organizations onsite, anyone who attends can find a volunteer opportunity suited to their wants and needs. Whether once a year, once a month, or once a week, exciting and rewarding volunteer opportunities are available.
So swing by the Volunteer Expo, meet tons of groups looking for volunteers just like you, and walk away with a volunteer job! Bring your entire family or just you and your coffee.
