Every month, The Dagger’s Harford Eats! will be allowing you to vote for the best restaurants in Harford County. This month, Eats! is asking you where to find the best burger in the county.
Who makes the best burger in Harford County? Is it a local place or one of the chains? Select from the list below or fill in the other box with your favorite. We need your help with this one, so any burger joint that receives 2 other “other” write-in votes will be added to the main poll. Voting will close May 31st!
We’ve added the poll below, but be sure to check out Harford Eats! for all the latest local restaurant reviews and information.

Don’t forget the Billard Club in Havre de Grace. Great Burgers. I should know I eat a hamburger everyday for lunch.
HIRAM LODGEPOLE says
hard to beat a burger at Looney’s…i know, lots of folks have their opinions of Looney’s…fast track, jock straps…loud chicks…whatever…
you want the best burger around, go there, chow down, then bitch or opinionate…
my pal, Jimmy Stillwell says the only real shrimp salad sandwich in the area is at Looney’s for a reasonable price…no rip off on food…
and screw the loud chicks, with blackberries, BMW’s and crotch-less pants…
some are there to dine, others to ‘profile’…
like Rodney King so wisely sayeth…”can’t we all just get along.”

The Burger at Beechtree is great!. They are still cooked to order so you can get it juicy med rare if you want. The only problem is they are open on Thursdays and Fridays while the new restaurant is being built at Water’s Edge

The best kept secret in Harford County is still Grumpy’s in Aberdeen. All of their food is made to order and the burgers are no exception. Better yet, on Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00 theyre half price! A burger and two beers sill cost $10.00.

How can a burger joint that only cooks burgers one way — way overdone — be the best burger joint anywhere, much less in Harford County? Granted, there’s a major problem to be overcome in the Harford County Health Department, its food nazis demanding burgers be overcooked at least to medium. But Five Guys proclaims it serves burgers cooked to nothing less than well done! Do you know how many places in this county alone advise they’re not responsible for the taste or texture of steaks ordered well done? How much worse will a well-done burger taste! It’ll come out the consistency of particle board, and about as tasty. And yes, I’ve been to Five Guys. I gave them a shot. They blew it. I expected tastelessness as soon as I saw the “well done only” sign, and I got it. I won’t be back. Go to Choice Burgers. You can get really tasty stuff there, a wide range of burgers (where else can you get bison or elk, huh?), and they’ll actually give you the choice of not cooking your burger to death. By the way, food nazis: You do realize, do you not, that the more well done you cook meat, the higher the level of carcinogens you pump into it? How is that healthier than a tasty, rare (or even medium-rare) burger, huh?
