(Abingdon, MD – May 8, 2009) -Harford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the stabbing of a 19 year old man that occurred on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at approximately 9:55 p.m. in the 3400 block of Clairborne Way, Abingdon, MD.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. deputies responded to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air for a patient who was being treated for a stab wound.
Investigation has revealed the victim and two suspects, familiar with the victim, were arguing over the use of the victim’s vehicle, a 1994 Chevrolet Malibu. The argument escalated into a physical altercation outside of the residence during which the victim was stabbed in the lower torso.
The victim was transported by a friend to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for treatment and then transported to Shock Trauma by University of Maryland ExpressCare Medivac where he is expected to recover from his injuries. The investigation continues as detectives interview witnesses and the suspects.
