BEL AIR, Md.—Three Harford men’s basketball players have been named to the MDJUCO All-Conference teams, the conference announced today. Sophomore John Schwarz (Perry Hall, Md./Perry Hall/Mount St. Mary’s) leads Harford’s honorees with a First-Team All-Conference selection, while sophomore Jamar Cooper (Petersburg, Va./Petersburg) and freshman JoJo Woodruff (Capitol Heights, Md./Wise) picked up Second-Team honors.
Schwarz led Harford in the regular season as he averaged 14.2 points per game, was second on the team with 8.1 rebounds per game and third with a .503 field goal percentage. Cooper led the conference with 3.8 steals per game and also ranked in the top five with 6.0 assists per game while ranking third on the team with 12.5 points per game. Woodruff finished the regular season as the second scorer on the team with 13.3 points per game and shot just under .700 from the free-throw line.
Schwarz, Cooper, Woodruff and the rest of the Harford Fighting Owls return to action on Friday when they take on No. 5 CCBC-Essex in the quarterfinals of the Region XX Tournament at Hagerstown Community College.
