From Maryland State Police:
(Harford County, MD) Troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack implemented operation “Don’t Press Your Luck” throughout this Saint Patrick’s Day weekend. This operation continued for several days, from Wednesday, March 17, 2010 through Saturday, March 20, 2010.
During this initiative nearly twenty Troopers conducted 464 traffic stops, issued 312 citations, 375 warnings, arrested 10 individuals for driving under the influence, 2 individuals for possession of controlled dangerous substances and 5 individuals for other violations of Maryland criminal laws.
Operation “Don’t Press Your Luck” was one of the most productive statewide barrack operations this St. Paddy’s Day week and wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and commitment of Bel Air Barrack Troopers. Our message is simple and clear: “Don’t Press Your Luck – please drive with prudence and good judgment and avoid becoming a statistic.”
