SAIC to Lay Off 35 Employees in Aberdeen and Edgewood

Science Applications International Corporation’s (SAIC) Infrastructure, Logistics & Product Solutions Group (ILPSG) is restructuring some of its operations as part of ongoing efforts to more strategically align business capabilities and achieve efficient, cost-effective business services to better serve customers.

Approximately 60 positions within ILPSG will be affected by the alignment. Of the affected positions, approximately 35 are located at SAIC’s Aberdeen and Edgewood offices in Harford County, Md. The other positions are spread among locations throughout the U.S. For this restructuring, the company will offer transition services to affected employees. Currently approximately 6,135 employees work for SAIC in the State of Maryland, providing services to customers in areas including first responder training, logistics, critical infrastructure and homeland security.
