From the State Fire Marshal’s Office:
STREET, MD (June 21, 2010) – A joint investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office has led to arson charges being placed against Eric Douglas Bruns (23) of Harford County and William Robert Bedish (22) of Baltimore County.
The June 20, 2010 vehicle fire occurred at 8:53 p.m. in the Deer Creek Conservation Area in Street, Harford County, Maryland. The vehicle, a 2006 Hyundai Sonata was owned by Mary T. Wagner and was parked and secured at the location.
A passerby witnessed the suspects breaking glass and stealing items from the vehicle before it being set on fire. The passerby notified 911 and a Harford County Sheriff’s Deputy performed a traffic stop and located the items stolen from the vehicle in the suspect’s vehicle.
Firefighters from the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company extinguished the blaze within ten minutes. There were no injuries reported.
Bruns and Bedish were transported to the Harford County Detention Center and are awaiting review before a District Court Commissioner. Charges stemming from the incident include 2nd Degree Arson, 1st Degree Malicious Burning and Malicious Destruction of Property.
If convicted of the charges they each face penalties of up to twenty-eight years imprisonment and/or fines up to $37,500.
Surprise, surprise… This is not the first run in with the law for these two. They are apparently both dopers and Bruns has other arrests for theft. Please lock the up for a very long time.

Have to agree with Steve. A check of court records reveals these two are no strangers to the harford detention center. The theft charge F U refers to is set for jury trial. They now have probation violations as well. I doubt 200,000 bail is set on model citizens. This was a malicious and senseless crime. Someone could have been injured.

Bruns is a walking idiot. If you know him then you know his past, present and future. It will always be a resident of the detention center. I have known him for years and everytime I ran in to him he was connected with some type of drug or illegal problem.
