From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at approximately 1pm, Harford County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a robbery that had just occurred at the Baltimore County Saving Bank on Rock Spring Road in Forest Hill, MD.
The suspect, described as a white male approximately 5’7” weighing 150-170lbs, entered the bank wearing a tan ball cap with blue lettering, dark sun glasses, a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans. He presented a note to the teller indicating he was armed, and demanded cash. After receiving the currency, he fled through the front doors of the bank.
In less than an hour, patrol deputies canvassing the area located the suspect in the bushes of a nearby business with the cash from the robbery on his person.
Jeffery Lee Lawson, age 47, of the 200 block of Aster Lane in Forest Hill, MD was arrested and charged armed robbery. He is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.
What, white folks committing crime in Forest Hill? Its probably that move to opportunity and free housing too or maybe he is an illegal. Whitey would never steal, rob or mug anyone.

lawson? that doesn’t sound Italian. The Moors are not part of the Italian ancestry. Even if so, Moors are also caucasian, not just blond hair and blue eyed folks are Caucasian or Caucasoid as more properly designated.
While the Moors may not have a significant role in Italian history the Saracens certainly established the Emirate of Sicily in the 10th and 11th centuries.
Saracens are middle east people not of Arab descent.

Not only was that the most uneducated discussion I’ve seen on here yet, but it speaks to our the great freedom of speech despite lack of substance. Crime is crime, bottom line its a good thing no one was hurt. This little summer is heating up to be one for criminal activity to take advantage of all areas of Harford, regardless of demographic.
Ron, you are correct. This is what happens in poor and difficult times. This is why we need social safety-net programs to limit the amount of desperation people face when downtrodden.
There is of course no way to complete stop crime, but enacting adequate social protections, education, and taking the hard steps that necessary to stop cycles of poverty, drug use, and crime are of course what will greatly reduce future crimes. Sadly, too many amongst us are very short sighted and look only at one things (taxes), fighting them with scare tactics (calling reform-minded politicians socialists or communists) resulting in many more decades of such things. I hope I am here to see society awaken to these realities, I look forward to the times when it is more important to care for thy neighbor than it is to fight for the ever lower tax rate.

Conservatives on Dagger are at the very least consistent… negatively exaggerate everything somebody says if their perspective different from yours. It is amazing how all conservatives suddenly sound like Glen Beck. In some parts of the world that is called brainwashing.

We need to eliminate the programs that these losers never attend, cut off their free handouts and do what you are supposed to do with criminals–arrest them and put them away. My family is stuggling as well but I am not robbing banks, stuffing my pockets with money and hiding in bushes. No rehabilitative program will combat that. Some judge will let him out and he’ll be knocking off a McDonald’s as soon as he is out. Cynical? How about honest?

Fraud by some of the largest companies now located on APG. Companies that every local company is dying to do business with using our TAX dollars. Companies that only exist due to government contracts; contracts that are paid for by the tax payers. What about the tax cuts for the rich, not the wealthy but the RICH? These tax cuts are not funded and will increase the deficit! Tax incentives and give-aways to developers. War 1, War 2 and possibly War 3 since we like to threaten Iran on any given day. The list goes on as to why this country is in debt. If we want to have a true discussion about the deficit and what is wrong with this country then let’s be truthful. Get your blind ideology out of the way. We love to get on the dagger and scream about welfare and food stamps for those that don’t work. You know, the worst members of society. I don’t want to support those on welfare, food stamps or section 8 either. I would rather keep my tax dollars. However, where is the outrage and protest for our tax dollars that continually go to the wealthiest member’s of society? If the HC Tea Party was really concerned about big govt and waste they would be on the corner of Main Street in Bel Air protesting EVERYDAY! Instead of using the parking lot for their own personal use to load their buses on the way to another march in DC. They would also be outside protesting at the new Beachtree development and camped out at APG demanding accountablity for those precious tax dollars. The waste goes on but I have limited time today. This hypocrisy is the reason why a moderate Republican has no place in this “new” party.

You know guys, no one seems to be showing any compassion at all. He did wrong but those of you that have never done anything wrong in your life or have never had a family member to have done wrong please step forward. This is a painful painful situation especially for the mom that this man left behind. For her to get on here and have to see what people (that did not even know her son)are saying about her son is so sad. People are very quick to jump to judgement. This could have been your dad, your brother or your son. He may not have been perfect but he was someone’s son and I know his mother and she certainly does not deserve to have to get on the net and see where people are saying such ugly things and hurt her heart like that. She is dealing with the loss of her son she should not have to deal with people being cruel. She is one of the most dearest people I have ever met why would you want to hurt her like this? I pray that none of you will ever have to feel what she is feeling today and have people torment you like this. This world needs Jesus. He teaches us how to love others. That’s a load of bullcrap. Did you ever think about the freedom that has been taken away from the teller? Not knowing if she was going to be shot or not, if she would ever see her family again? It’s not in the same league as a rape victim, but the victim of a robbery will always have the memory of that moment and will never feel quite as safe again, whether in a bank, in a crowd of people, or walking alone to her car.
No, I have never done anything wrong like that, nor has anyone in my family. This is not a place for obituaries, and she should not be looking up articles about his (alleged) crime if she does not want to see opinions about him and what he did to the people in that bank.

So to do a judical search on this creep, do not use the Dagger’s spelling of this criminal. Spell the first name Jeffrey, not Jeffery! He has a nice list of crimes. And btw, so does his brother Jimmy who lives at home with their Mom too. Poor Mom, having two criminal sons living with her.
Ok, everyone has done their homework and has made their comments and some…. but the person is being laid to rest tomorrow and hopefully he will finally be at rest and maybe the mom can too.
No matter what a Mom’s son or sons do, a MOMs love is unconditional and will always be there for them. You ALL should thank god that your family and family members are so perfect to feel that this conversation still needs to take place even after the person passes. TO wrongs don’t make a right, so let it go and maybe go spend some time with your mom while you still can.

ummm justAmom, u might just want to check ur sources. from someone who lives near him and knows some of his story, he was an extremely nice, kind hearted, soft hearted man. and yeah, he had some troubles, that doesnt mean that he deserved to have his life taken away from his mother and father, who loved him in the most extreme way that a parent could love their CHILD, when they saw him in that casket today, he wasnt a CRIMINAL, but their SON. ur JUST a mom, obviously not a mom that would love unconditionally. This man’s mother is broken, and his father falling apart. maybe u should expierience losing a child before u judge, i doubt that you would be so cold hearted.

Jimmy was listed as living “at home” in Forest Hill when arrested 6 months ago for DWI. Check the Judical Search Records. I do not know where he currently resides, only where he resided six months ago according to court records. Sorry for my mistake.
