From the Village at Carsins Run:
Prospective residents, members of the media, and others from the surrounding community will have an opportunity to see the interior and exterior designs of Harford County’s first Continuing Care Retirement Community and meet the design team responsible for the community’s unique blend of contemporary amenities and neighborhood charm when The Village at Carsins Run holds its “Architectural Design Kick Off.”
The “Architectural Design Kick Off” will take place on Tuesday, November 9 from 4-5:30 p.m. on the Concourse Level at Ripken Stadium, 873 Long Drive in Aberdeen. The event will feature a wine and cheese reception and presentations by the architects (THW Design) and interior design team (GMK Associates).
The Village at Carsins Run will be constructed on 138 acres of rolling Maryland countryside in Aberdeen, adjacent to Ripken Stadium. When completed, the new facility will offer seniors independent living, assisted living, and nursing care – all in an accessible, neighborhood-like setting which allows seniors to remain close to family, friends, and the community in which they have been living.
Developed by The Presbyterian Home of Maryland – a faith-based not-for-profit organization that has been providing care to seniors in Baltimore since 1883 – The Village at Carsins Run will feature 162 apartment homes, 21 single-family cottages, and a comprehensive nursing and assisted living section. The entire complex will be surrounded by mature trees, ecologically rich wetlands, and the Carsins Run tributary.
Apartments will range in size from 897 to 1,783 square feet. Apartment residents will have indoor access to the Wellness Center, gracious dining, and activity areas which will include billiards, cards and library areas, craft and classrooms, a fitness center, and other common spaces.
Single family cottages will range in size from 1,724 to 2,263 square feet and offer single story living with options, custom features, one- or two-car garages, and upgrades for personalizing each home.
Members of the media are invited to attend the “Architectural Design Kick-Off.” For more information about The Village at Carsins Run, visit www.carsinsrun.org.
