On Thanksgiving morning, 600 runner s and walkers participated in the 4th Annual Bulle Rock Turkey Trot, raising over $12,000 for the Susquehanna Hose Company.
Open to the public for all age groups and fitness levels, the 5K walk/run traveled from Residents’ Club at The Residences at Bulle Rock to the five-star Bulle Rock Golf Course and back.
Renaissance All Sports Athletic Club recorded each participant’s finish times and a costumed turkey greeted participants and cheered them on at the finish line. Race times are posted at www.BulleRockTurkeyTrot.com and the winners were as follows:

The Susquehanna Hose Company, which is responsible for the fire protection services for the City of Havre De Grace, will use the proceeds from the race to purchase carbon monoxide detectors for those who can’t afford them. It also will purchase two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and donate additional cash proceeds to the City.
The first three Bulle Rock Turkey Trots raised $26,000, which was used to purchase seven AEDs for The City of Havre de Grace, as well as two hydraulic rams and two rescue and escape units for the Susquehanna Hose Company.
“It is our privilege to annually host the Bulle Rock Turkey Trot and create a fun way to support such a worthwhile cause,” said Brenda Desjardins, a spokeswoman for The Residences at Bulle Rock. ”We are so appreciative of our sponsors, volunteers and all the event participants for helping us raise the funds needed to purchase emergency equipment to help our neighbors in need.”
