From the office of District 35 State Sen. Barry Glassman:
Annapolis, MD – Senator Glassman’s Senate Bill 497 –Vehicle Laws – Registration Classifications – Class G or Livestock Trailer or Semitrailer, passed with a unanimous 47-0 vote on the Senate Floor this morning. The bill will now move to the House for committee review.
Senate Bill 497 will allow the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration to issue a Class G farm or livestock trailer or semitrailer registration to an applicant who certifies that the vehicle is used to exclusively transport livestock and the vehicle has a maximum gross weight of 5,000 pounds. The annual fee for the Class G Livestock tag will be $12.75.
