From Harford County Government:
(Bel Air, MD) – The Harford County Office of Economic Development’s Office of Tourism has announced the dates and plans for Harford County’s Second Annual Restaurant Week, which will be held June 9 to June 15.
The Office of Tourism is currently contacting restaurants to enroll their participation. Restaurants who wish to participate are required to be Tourism Marketing Partners and must supply a $25 gift card to the Office of Tourism, which will be given away in a grand prize drawing at the end of Restaurant Week.
More than forty restaurants participated during 2010’s first Restaurant Week, and all of the participants in the program saw an increase in their customers. For 2011’s Restaurant Week, participating full-service restaurants will be offering a prix fixe (price fixed) menu consisting of 3 course meals for $20.11 (or less), plus beverages, tax, and gratuity. Limited service restaurants are invited to participate by offering other special values.
The Office of Tourism will coordinate and promote Restaurant Week throughout the region. Participating restaurants will have a listing and link on the tourism website with their prix fixe menus at www.harfordmd.com. Most participating restaurants saw an increase in business by 15 percent during Restaurant Week in June 2010.
“Our goal is to stimulate business activity while encouraging locals and visitors to taste the many flavors of Harford County,” stated Tourism Manager Wini Roche.
