From the Maryland State Police, Bel Air Barrack:
(Harford County, MD) Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack responded to a two vehicle collision on May 8 at 5:16 p.m. that occurred E/B U.S. Route 40 just east of Oakington Road, Havre De Grace, MD 21078.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2010 Nissan, operated by Erika Christian Boin from the 8000 block of Bradshaw Road in Baltimore County, was traveling W/B on route 40 attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot. A 2004 Suzuki motorcycle, operated by Hauson Tiaree Woodard (26 yoa) from the 100 block of Great Oaks Drive in Aberdeen, was traveling E/B on Route 40 in lane #2. When the Nissan proceeded with the left turn, both vehicles collided. The collision caused Woodard to be ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway.
Woodard was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police MEDIVAC, Trooper #1, where he succumbed to his injuries. Boin, along with three other passengers in the Nissan were transported to Harford Memorial Hospital for minor injuries sustained during the collision.
The investigation of this crash is continuing.
