From Harford County Public Schools:
North Harford Middle School (NHMS) will dedicate a Wall of Honor to family members who have served or are currently serving in one of the branches of the United States Military.
The event will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. at the school. The project began around Veterans Day when students expressed a desire to honor members of the military in a special way. Mr. Thomas Ford, a 7th grade social studies teacher and sponsor of NHMS Future Teachers of America (FTA), developed the idea with FTA as a service learning project.
All students and staff of NHMS were invited to submit information about family members who have served, or are currently serving, in the United States Military. The wall now honors more than 300 members of the United States Military, and it is still growing. Each branch of the military has added its flag to the display, and a color guard from Aberdeen Proving Ground will present the colors for the dedication. Military vehicles are expected to be on display at the event.
For more information about the event, please contact the school at 410-638-3658

The Wall Of Honor sounds like an excellent way for the students to honor the men and women who have served our country. It’s great to see young children show an appreciation to our soldiers.
